1. Prohibited and restricted channel configurations

Some types of channels aren't permitted on the PDX Syndication Channel Store and others must have their visibility set to unlisted in the PDX Developer Console so as not to be publicly visible or accessible.

Prohibited channel types

The following channel types aren't permitted on the PDX Syndication Channel Store:

  1. Channels that are pieces of standalone software that need to be downloaded to a computer - The PDX Syndication Channel Store's distribution method is through the use of web applications. There currently isn't an infrastructure to distribute any other type of app safely and securely to our users.
  2. Channels that mostly rely on user or Partner interaction to operate - Channels that rely on mainly person-to-person interactions should consider listing as a service in our Experts Marketplace.
  3. Channels that make little or no use of PDX's APIs - Channels submitting to the PDX Syndication Channel Store must make efficient use of PDX APIs in order to function. This is to make the user experience better by using direct channel rules and validations and mitigate user error.
  4. Channels that falsify data to deceive merchants or buyers - These Channels violate our Acceptable Use Policy.
  5. Multiple Channels with overlapping functionality created by the same Partner - If you want to list more than one channel on the PDX Syndication Channel Store, then each channel must be clearly different from other channels that you've already listed. In some cases, you can combine multiple channels into one.
  6. Channels with restricted beta API scopes enabled - If your channel has been granted access to beta testing API scopes, then you can't submit your app to the PDX Syndication Channel Store.
  7. Channels that require a browser extension to function - Channels that require a browser extension to function aren't permitted on the PDX Syndication Channel Store. Channels can use a browser extension as an optional feature, but must fully function without it.
  8. Channels that connect to an established payments gateway - Channels that connect to established payments gateways to provide services that aren't related to processing PDX Subscription and service payments aren't permitted on the PDX Syndication Channel Store.
